Storykeeper allows open submissions so creators can easily share their comics without long approval wait times!

HOWEVER, all entries are subject to manual review to help prevent spam, broken links, duplicate submissions, misleading information, or bot activity. StoryKeeper reserves the right to edit, remove, or decline listings that violate platform guidelines or disrupt the integrity of the directory.

Creating an account—just an email and password—lets you update your listing anytime and helps us keep the archive clean and consistent. It only takes a minute!

📋 What Comics We Accept:

• Webcomics (ongoing or complete, in any style/format)

• Fancomics & doujinshi (clearly labeled by fandom & properly tagged)

• SFW and NSFW comics (again, properly tagged!)

At least 1 episode/page must be live and readable online (Tapas, Webtoon, personal site, Tumblr, etc.)

🧾 What You’ll Need:

1. Comic Title

2. Cover Image

   • Safe for Work only, even for NSFW comics

3. Creator Name/Handle

4. Short Logline (15 word one sentence summary)

5. 2–3 Tags/Genres

   • Examples: Gothic Horror, Queer Romance, Isekai

6. Summary

   • Keep it short and to the point, a paragraph will do!

   • Fancomics must have name of fandom title included

     • One Piece, Death Note, JJK, ATLA, Hetalia, etc

7. Extra Genres

   • Don’t be afraid to get specific!

   • NSFW, doujinshi & fancomics must be tagged as such

   • Comics with Smut must have intensity tagged

     • Heavy Smut, Lite Smut, Eventual Smut, Smut (No Smut is optional)

• LGBTQIA+ adult content welcome!

🚫 Not allowed:

• Sexually explicit cover images (must be SFW thumbnails)

• Unlabeled adult content (NSFW content must be clearly tagged)

• Harmful or illegal material (e.g. explicit sexual imagery of minors, AI fakes, etc.)

• AI-generated comics

• Plagiarized or stolen work

• NFT/crypto comics

• Comics with hateful or violent ideologies

• Spam comics

• Use a cover image that invites curiosity (even for NSFW! Use symbolism, silhouettes, etc.)

• Write a clear logline. Think short, sharp, and spoiler-free

• Choose tone-revealing tags that help readers find you (slow burn? polyamorous? horror comedy? Let them know!)

Q: How do you pick which comics are featured on the homepage?

Storykeeper features comics through a mix of curator picks, rotating themes, community recommendations on Tumblr, and a little bit of serendipity! Some are hand-selected, others are randomized from curated pools. We don’t believe in locking titles behind a gate.

Q: How can my comic be featured on Storykeeper?

Many featured placements pull from curated lists. This means a comic doesn't need to match one specific style or genre to be featured. It just needs clear presentation, cohesive storytelling, and accurate tags.

Some are featured through community love or rotation. Not every feature is immediate, but every story on Storykeeper has a chance to be seen.

Q: Can I submit a fancomic or doujinshi?

Yes! Fancomics and doujinshi are welcome here. Just tag the comic as such in the MAIN genre box and specify what fandom it is in the summary and follow our general guidelines.

Q: Is NSFW content allowed?

Absolutely! We support spicy storytelling 💯. That said, all NSFW comics must be properly tagged, and their cover image must be SFW.

We also encourage tagging intensity levels (e.g. “Lite Smut” or “Heavy Smut”) to help readers find what they’re comfortable with.

Q: Do I have to make an account to submit?

Yes, BUT! It’s quick and free—just an email and password! Accounts let you return to update your listing, make edits, and help us keep the archive clean and organized.

Q: Does Storykeeper own my IP if I submit my comic?

NO. Submitting just means an opportunity to have your comic found and marketed in a way that isn’t easily done in other comic hosting sites. Your work is your own. We don’t host or own anything.

Q: What if I want to suggest a comic I didn’t create?

You’re a gem! Use the Request-a-Comic Form below and we’ll take it from there. Or feel free to reach out to the creator to get them listed.

Q: Can I edit or remove my listing later?

Yes. If you submitted it, you can log in to edit or remove it any time. Don’t see the option? Just message us and we’ll help. If you’re the creator of a comic that was submitted on your behalf and want it removed, message us below and we’ll do just that!

Q: Is Storykeeper free to use?

Yes! The directory is free for both creators and readers. We run on love, webcomic obsession, and the occasional sponsorship or Patreon support!
